Food, place, and memory

Every recipe begins somewhere.

Every recipe can hold more than ingredients. It can preserve a place, a person, a celebration, or an ordinary evening worth remembering.

Some recipes begin with family traditions from Alsace. Others begin with an American holiday, a restaurant memory, a market visit, a garden harvest, or a meal made together at home in Utah.

We are also backyard beekeepers, so honey, pollinator plants, and the rhythm of the seasons are part of the story of our table.

The cookbook is designed to grow over time, with sources, photographs, notes, and both US and metric measurements preserved alongside each recipe.
